CAAT splits VP, service delivery role into two new VP roles to support enhanced service experience
CAAT Pension Plan will split one its top positions into two new roles upon the retirement of its current vice president of service delivery.
Angela Goodchild, vice president, service delivery, will retire effective June 1, 2024. Goodchild joined CAAT in 2013 as director of service delivery. She led the development and maintenance of high standards for customer service for both members and participating employers.
Upon Goodchild’s retirement, her role will be split into two new vice president positions to enhance experiences provided to active and retired members and participating employers. As of June 1, Sonny Khindria will be vice president, member experience and Troy Whetstone will be vice president, employer experience.
Khindria has been with CAAT since 2019 and has 25 years of pension experience. Previously, he held progressively senior positions with Ontario Public Service, Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP), and the Ontario Shared Services before joining CAAT. His new role will see him focus on the member experience.
Whetstone joined CAAT in 2021 and has over 25 years of experience in the defined benefit pension space. Previously, he held progressively senior roles at the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan. He will focus on improving the employer experience for new and existing participating employers in the Plan through processes and technology.
"We are very fortunate to have a deep and talented pool of employees that allowed us to fill these senior positions with excellent internal candidates," says Kevin Rorwick, chief operating officer, CAAT Pension Plan. "Congratulations to Sonny and Troy, and I look forward to the new ideas and energy they will bring to these roles. It is also with mixed feelings that we announce the retirement of Angela Goodchild after a decade of leadership. She has been instrumental in helping with CAAT's rapid growth while maintaining our high service standards for our 94,000 members and 370 participating employers."
