Ellement Consulting Group announces new merger

Ellement Consulting Group announced its merger with George & Bell Consulting (G&B), stating it will establish one of Canada’s largest independent consulting firms.

Ellement’s CEO, Brandon Ellement, emphasized the merger’s impact on the firm’s services and talent base. He noted that partnering with George & Bell “significantly enhances our professional services offering, and brings in a significant talent and leadership capabilities into our organization.”

According to Ellement, this merger reflects the firm’s commitment to attracting and retaining top talent for their clients, people, and partners. He added that the team looks forward to continued service for mutual clients.

Founded in 2012, G&B is a full-service retirement, benefits, and investment consulting firm with 50 professional staff across Vancouver, Edmonton, and Toronto.

The combined firm will operate under the Ellement name as of January 1, 2025, with a workforce of 220 professionals serving 250 clients across Canada.

The firm will advise on $3bn in annual health and welfare payments and premiums, as well as $120bn in assets, from offices in Vancouver, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, and Ottawa. All existing shareholders from both firms will retain their shares in the newly merged entity.
