The Mitchell Sandham acquisition aims to boost its insurance and benefits offerings in the region
Hub International Limited (Hub), an insurance brokerage and financial services firm, has announced the acquisition of Mitchell Sandham Inc., including its subsidiary, Mitchell Sandham Group Benefits Inc. (collectively known as Mitchell Sandham).
The financial details of this acquisition remain undisclosed, as per Newswire Canada.
Situated in Oakville, Ontario, Canada, Mitchell Sandham stands as one of the oldest and most significant independently owned insurance brokerages in the Greater Toronto Area.
Susan Murphy, president of Hub Ontario, praised Mitchell Sandham for its exceptional client service and its ability to build a high-achieving sales team. She expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, highlighting that Mitchell Sandham will bolster Hub's ongoing growth strategy within the region.
Aaron Nantais, CEO of Mitchell Sandham, reflected on the company's remarkable growth over the past decade and the subsequent 12-month search for a strategic partner to further accelerate growth.
He noted that joining Hub will provide their clients and employees with increased resources and expertise, thereby expanding their geographical reach across Canada and the U.S.

The acquisition will see key figures from Mitchell Sandham, including CEO Aaron Nantais, COO Ryan Mitchell, partner and vice presidents Michael Daou and Trevor Waldron, and CEO of Mitchell Sandham Group Benefits & Retirement Chris McFarland, joining Hub Ontario.
Following the acquisition, Mitchell Sandham will operate under the name Mitchell Sandham Insurance Brokers, a Hub International company. Dowling Hales represented Mitchell Sandham in the transaction.
