Wildfires in Jasper National Park are expected to disrupt Canada's supply chain, according to BNN Bloomberg.

The Port of Vancouver anticipates delays in goods movement due to the situation in Jasper, said spokesperson Alex Munro.

Canadian National Railway Co. (CN), the nation’s largest rail company, suspended operations in the Jasper area on Wednesday afternoon as fire conditions worsened.

CN's main line runs through the park, connecting to export hubs in Vancouver and Prince Rupert, BC, and extending east to the rest of the country.

Munro also noted that the port expects increased anchorage utilization as ships await delayed cargoes. The port will collaborate with supply chain partners to ensure the continued safe and efficient movement of Canada's trade.
