New CPO has 10+ years at OMERS, previously held EVP and pension head roles
OMERS has appointed Celine Chiovitti as its new chief pension officer.
With over a decade of experience at OMERS, including her recent role as executive vice president and head of pensions for the past two years, Chiovitti steps into her new position with a wealth of knowledge and expertise.
In her capacity as chief pension officer, Chiovitti aims to continue the impactful work she has been known for at OMERS. Her commitment to enhancing the membership and retirement experiences for members throughout Ontario has been a hallmark of her tenure.
Before joining OMERS in 2013, Chiovitti contributed significantly to the public service sector. Her position as a division head at the City of Toronto involved managing pension, payroll, and benefits delivery for over 35,000 employees.
Her career has consistently focused on service and the positive societal impacts of well-managed pension systems.
Holding the status of a certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) with Fellowship Status, Chiovitti plays a role in the OMERS executive leadership team and contributes to the Benefits and Pensions Monitor Editorial Advisory Board.
