Sun Life Global Investments is pleased to appoint Karl William Gagné to the role of Director, Institutional Business Development and Client Relationships, Québec & Atlantic Canada. Based in Montreal, Karl is responsible for further developing and building new relationships for the firm’s growing institutional asset management business in the Québec & Atlantic market.
Karl previously worked at Manulife for six years in diverse and progressively senior positions. Most recently he was Client Relationship Manager, responsible for supporting Clients in managing and optimizing their retirement plans and overseeing the continuing service delivered to Clients in the large-case market. Prior to that Karl worked in Manulife’s institutional investment management business where he helped defined benefit Clients’ enhance the overall health of their plans.
Karl holds his Bachelor’s degree from Laval University, an MBA in investment management from Concordia University and is a CFA® charterholder. He is a member of the Youth Chamber of Commerce of Montreal and founding member of Finance Montreal’s Youth Board of Directors.
